Joseph (Joey) Rodger Schumaker, 83 of Wellington, MO. passed away July 29, 2025 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday August 4, 2025, at Greenton Baptist Church, Odessa, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior. 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. Memorials to Greenton Cemetery. Joseph was born August 5, 1941 in Odessa, MO. son of John D. and Elsie (Lear) Schumaker. He was married April 16, 1960 to his high school sweet heart, Mary Hodson. She preceded him in death. He was a life time farmer who loved to hunt, fish, trap shoot and square dance. He is survived by his son: Scott (Penny) Schumaker of Wellington, MO. and daughter Amy Schumaker of Wellington, MO. Special close friend Susan Craft Small of Lexington, MO. Grandchildren: Joey (Christine) Schumaker of Arkansas, Jessica (Michael) Schumaker, of GrainValley, MO. Leslee (Kenith) Strohman of Wellington, MO., Lauren (Brent) Patterson, of Parkville, MO. Nick Bross of North KC, MO. Six GreatGrandchildren: Vesper, Boone, Nash, Grace, Raiden, Blaze sister: Mary (Bob) Polson of Odessa, MO. and Many family members. Preceded in death by wife, Parents, son: Doug, 3 Brothers: John, Jim, and Wallace. 2 sisters: Fern and Alice. Inurnment at later date, Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, MO.
